Viral Warts
In the medical arena, viral warts are termed as verrucas vulgaris and are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus or HPV. Warts are generally common and can occupy any spot on the body. Both young and old, men and women can be prone to the infection. The immune system is one of the reasons as to why the infection can take its toll. Scientific studies reveal at least 100 kinds of HPV which may either enter the human body through the breaks and cracks in the skin or by the mere participation in any form of sexual activity. One more thing, the infection may spread through the direct contact of the objects which have been previously used by the affected individual.
There are various forms of viral warts. Included are the common warts which appear with the small dark dots, the plantar warts which grow on the feet, flat warts that look smooth and flat being tanned or same with the skin tone, filliform warts or those that grow on the lips and eyelids, and the genital warts or those that thrive in the genitals.
Viral warts are also termed to be either minor or serious. They typically invade the arms, soles of the feet, arms, hands, neck, face, eyelids, lips, and the genitals. These obviously thrive on the warm, moist, and thick skin. The growth of which is similar to a cauliflower but are regarded to be painless and benign. However, these are not enough reasons to tolerate their presence on the body.
